double die?

    I know this coin is pmd damage but is this coin double die? and I see a double nose to I've been doing research on double die and getting help from you guys thank you by the way. im still a newbie but I'm learning and having fun coin hunting. coin 2.jpg coin 1.jpg coin 3.jpg coin 4.jpg coin 5.jpg

    No. The "doubling" you are seeing on the coin is from the damage it sustained. It looks like it was hit with something acidic.

    And.. The correct numismatic terminology is actually Doubled Die. Big difference.
