Hi. I recently came across this penny. I am new to coin collecting and such, so I'm not sure if this penny is worth all of the fuss I have given it. So far from the research I have done, I THINK it may be a class six, but like I said, I am new to this and looking for some guidance. Also, if it is in fact what I had thought, is there any value to it? Thanks! IMAG1099.jpg

The correct term is doublED die for the future. There is no such thing as a "double die".

The pictures are small but I think I see die deterioration doubling which is common as dies were out. I save them as examples for education but they are not worth any added premium.

Thanks for the info. Like I said I am new to this. The only reason I even started looking at coins in this light is because my husband found a 1844 ten dollar coin that we almost made into a necklace HAHA! Good thing I googled it first!
