Double die? 1989 D penny

    Can anyone help? Is this considered a Double Die on the date? I took two pictures. One with flash and one without .

    No it is not a Doubled Die
    It's a classic case of DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling which has nothing at all to do with true Hub Doubling
    This issue occurs a lot on Copper Plated Zinc Cents.
