Do's and Don'ts in Coin Collecting

    Don't be too infatuated or focused with "having to have an MS example..." Often the AU coin looks better, is vastly cheaper, and will have a higher resale value later on if you decide to part with it.

    great info all!
    most of this has already been covered...but my 2 cents:
    be patient your money is good everywhere and buy a coin you want to live with, not for "potential investment value".
    study the series you buy to be better informed before you buy the coin
    book before coin
    leave your ego at the door. nobody knows everything about every coin series....listen to the experts' advice!!!!
    learn from other people's mistakes..its much cheaper than making your own
    and of course, buy the coin..not the slab or holders' grade...you want a coin that YOU are happy to own and enjoy!
