Being a native Texan, I can say without reservation that the state provides the marketing basis for all sorts of expensive gimmicks. This is just another one.
I am not a native Texan but been down here about 26 years and am proud to live down here. Saying that they are crazy with asking those prices.
For a bit of history, Don't Mess With Texas was -- and still may be -- the slogan for the state's anti-littering campaign.
Not much in life I hate more than a litterbug. I've yelled at my share of them over the years when I catch them in the act!
Overpriced - maybe - who knows. I don't know what it takes to tool-up to make something like that. Having just spent $30 at the Mexican restaurant that will be in my septic tank in 24 hours, it's a bargain. I just might get one. Lived in the great state from 1976 to 1985, and may go back.
