I've hadthis coin? For ever, I always thought it was from one of the original colonies, years ago I read an article about a copper coin with a horse with 1 leg up, article says only one has been found. I haven't a clue what it is, some say it's greek. Im going to try and send a picture of I think the observe, the other side wellit wont help. Any thoughts

There's something there, but what I don't know. The general shape of it makes me think ancient but that's just a guess.

Sorry. Even with pictures, I'm stumped.
Maybe some ancients people will chime in.

The OBVERSE is the front of the coin
The REVERSE is the back of the coin..

Hit the report tab and when it asks for a response, ask an admin to move it to the ancients forum. I'm sure you will find your answer there and someone will probably have a better example of your coin. Good folks over there.

A dog, lifting his leg, can mean only one thing.......Horse too.

Thanks, you seem to have nailed it, how, I haven't a clue but you've probably seen thousands of coins and read more than I'll ever know. Thank you. Eric

LOL... Do you have horses? Never seen them lift a leg as a dog does... :D
