It’s really kind of sad that germany made a better “presidential dollar” design with the African trump coin than the US mint did with its series.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The mint strikes medals with living persons, but not coins. The coin under discussion here is not from the US. And the bullion rounds aren't coins.

Have to agree - the likeness on the cheap Chinese knockoff is superior to most of the others - the Equatorial Guinea coin looks more like Phil Simms of the NFL

And cointalk the price!! 90 cents!! After shipping , doesn't seem to be a whole lot of margin left.

Errm, we've been through that. ;) "Germany" did certainly not make the design for the Trump coins from Equatorial Guinea. That was made by Coin Invest Trust (Liechtenstein). The pieces were then produced by the Mayer Mint, a private mint located in Germany (which does not make any German coins of course, and is basically part of Hong Kong based QNet) and distributed by Modern Coin Mart, a company located in the USA ...

I never said the German government. Being made by German companies is what I was referring too.

There is only one German company involved in it's manufacture.

The one that actually minted it. So what point are you actually trying to make. Liechtenstein speaks German as well. So again what’s your point

You referred to Germany in post #41; don't think that is a language. ;)

And? I said it was made by Germany not the German government. I’d say something made in Ohio was made by the USA when discussing the world scale

Guess we all know by now that the development, issue, production and distribution of those coins involved people and companies in several countries. And I won't even ask why the language spoken in Liechtenstein would suddenly play a role here. ;)

That was a fun pointless fight. Guess a German company didn’t mint them, but then again I guess I should have said they were made by a multicultural company of various backgrounds. After all it may not have been all Germans working there and Germans could have different ancestral blood. :banghead:

Sovereign nation that speaks German. So do Switzerland and Austria. I live in the US, but speak English. Many live here, and speak other languages. The language does not pinpoint your proximity.........
