dang, those are nice Q! and that is an excellent first ancient you got yourself there shernan. i have "clasped hands coin" on my list of coins to get. i do have a domitian, but i'll post my first ancient instead.
Well this thread does need some more coins not directly related to the original post... This is the coin that turned me into a "serious" ancient collector:
My first ancient was a throw-away FH that cost $7, but it did get me posting on this forum, and thanks to Doug Smith I am now many thousands of dollars in the hole. This was my second ancient...
My "first" was actually a lot I bought from a member here in 2013 though I didn't do much other than oogle over the mystery of the designs and antiquity of the coins. I had a blast attributing them.
Awesome coin shernan30! I'm a Flavian collector and I live in Ohio too. Here is a full attribution for the type: RIC V1081 (C2), BMC V269, RSC 393 I've got a boatload of Domitians, too many to post. You can view them here: http://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/index.php?cat=11162 Nice to see a fellow Buckeye on here!
