    I love this type as well - and yours is a very solid example! I imagine the toning around Athena's crest looks quite nice in person.

    I knew I had a coin with a dolphin somewhere!
    Here is, surprisingly, my only one.

    It was Herman MacNeil's first design for the SLQ.

    Ok, follow up question.

    Is that an old die? Engraving? Or what is it incased in? Also is there a reverse.

    Part two. Do you own this specimen/ item or is it just a picture.

    It's beautiful whatever it is and whoever owns it.

    I like the design. The wall is quite a bit better but I can see why they cut dolphins. Not a very 'powerful' sign especially around the WWI era.

    LOL, I wish I owned it. It is just a photo. IIRC, it is a bas relief bronze cast which was sold by Stacks about 5 years ago.
