Hobbies don&#039;t have to be rational. People buy silly little toys for thousands of dollars... old movie tickets, and other junk, and price is always set by the amount someone else values it. So, free market economies work the way they are intended. The buyer was not ignorant that is was likely not an MS65+ coin, but made a choice to still want it badly. He&#039;s not going to crash the market, and if he sells it, then he is a bad business person... as paying that to resell would not be a wise buy.
