Does this British Crown look wrong?

I was browsing G.B. Crown coins and noticed this one just doesn't look quite right to me. Notice the several areas on the rim that look damaged, flattened, ground. And the inner "ring" inside the denticles. It isn't a smooth circle.

I don't like that he doesn't give returns .

 

I think the crookedness may be a result of the scan, which is why you see it on the vertical portions of the circle. Can see the same effect with the two staples at the left and right.
Overall the coin appears genuine, just dinged up a bit.

 

crown often have edge imperfections but this one looks fine to me
