Some places I've been if it isn't written in Spanish they couldn't tell you what it says. I mean here in the States. When I was little, I would get a Walker or a Franklin for my allowance. Couldn't wait to spend it. Wish I hadn't.
Well, in those days, those were likely considered modern coins too. All the old coins we collect now and value were once modern coins people used to buy their groceries, supplies, etc. Just like today, we might take for granted our awesome clad coinage and say it's worthless now but in 100 years we could have a new generation picking, sorting and collecting what we used to just buy things with.
