    I'd say either acid or improperly dipped.

    I wouldn't buy it with my ex-wife's money.

    Definitely improperly cleaned. The good news is that it's a common date. Still worth the silver value.

    Genuine, heavily wire brushed.
    One tell-tale sign of that is the raised lip of metal along the edges of the letters in "LIBERTY". Wire-brushing has a tendency to move metal that way. Another question is why was it wire brushed ? The coin may have had some environmental damage (such as corrosion) that was removed by the wire brushing.

    Acid dipped. Was probably severely corroded. Worth silver regardless

    I think the dips have it. I checked the edge and found the same texture on the low points.
