Does anyone recognize this countermark on this 1791 Sol?

    Coin was minted off center, not sure if that has anything to do with the countermark.

    I think it's a modern counterstamp on a genuine dug coin.

    Interesting idea..... I was the one who cleaned it though.... so I am not so sure that is right....

    Bruce is a counterstamp collector her on CT.
    When you type in @ then the members screen name it will alert that member to the thread.
