Sorry for the poor pictures, they're downloaded from the web. I was wondering if anyone recognized the company these envelopes are from? The resolution is so poor I can't blow them up to read them.

They look like envelopes from Jamestown stamp company. I remember ordering some banknotes from them as a child after seeing an ad somewhere, i can't remember where though. They ran an approval service "buy 5 banknotes and get 5 more on approval, just pay for the ones you want and send the rest back".

Back in the 60's there were a lot of mail order coin and stamp buying companies.
They send you on approval sets of coins , stamps, or notes.
You had a time limit to buy them or return them.
Records LP and 45 rpm's also had clubs as such.....many a teen got their butts in hock to Columbia house lol.

I can read 341 E. Third Street, Jamestown, NY that would be Jamestown Stamp Co.
