Messydesk, what did that grade? Was the little bit of damage on the obverse enough to give it a "details" grade? I know they're more lenient on that sort of thing with coins whose dates begin with "17." Nice coin, btw!
There's no damage. It's actually in the planchet, which happens a lot with Fugios. This one grades PCGS VF20 with a CAC sticker. Fun coin to look at!
Thanks guys, those are all great. With something that old, even the low grade ones are cool. I don't usually go for "details" coins, but in this case I think I would.
I am too computer illiterate to do pictures but I do have a few Fugios. My favorite are the club ray varieties, there is a bit of mystery about there source.
