Yes, I have several San Marino coins, primarily euro pieces. And while I focus on the circulation and commemorative coins, I also have some some of their collector coins. Some I bought simply because of the design, sometimes it's the theme that I find attractive. What I also find interesting is when two or more countries issue pieces on the same occasion but with different designs. For example, when San Marino issued the Canova coin, Italy issued one too. This year, Germany issued a €10 collector coin dedicated to Kepler's Astronomia Nova - and San Marino just issued a €5 piece on the same occasion. Unfortunately the collector coins from San Marino (and also Italy) cannot be had at face - as in the US you have to pay much more than the nominal value. Also, euro collector coins are legal tender in the issuing country only. That does of course not apply to the "real" euro coins. :) Christian
