A high school classmate of mine had a Triumph TR4 Convertible. His name was Mark Poore, and in May, 1965, we decided to take a weekend drive through the Shenandoah Valley to Waynesboro, VA. He was crazier than me. He wore a chromed German WWII helmet the entire trip. There were times when I didn't think we get out of the valley alive.

Had a 1958 vette, and sold it to buy a new 67 Mustang from Ben Alexander Ford in LA. He was Joe Fridays partner on 'Dragnet'.

I thought Harry Morgan, aka Colonel Potter, played his partner.

Harry was one of two partners, and the best.

Yep the vette' 1953, production #100 of the 300 manufactured. My dad had some money problems in 1967 when my mom got sick. I was in Nam and it was about all I could offer to help. I saw one just like it many years ago at a Beach Boy concert at USC. I think it might even have been the same one ?

I never even asked dad what he got for it. Mom had my power of attorney and I told her to sign the pink. LOL

I am way too old to drive it around today anyway. LOL Might look like a mid-life crisis ! Or a very late life one !

They may have been hillbillies to some, but they were red-blooded Americans through and through.

Each of us is stuck in some way to a point in our lives. A period of time we live in forever.
