I've searched "1/2 TUBER"with no luck so I figured I'd post it for the experts and see what they say. My main interest is in US coins so when something like this pops up I generally have trouble with the ID. Thanks, Mike
That is a 1/2 Stuber. It was minted in Germany. That coin is very corroded, so it's only wort about $5.
The issuing authority of your coin is the Duchy of Jülich Berg. According to Numista, P. R. are the initials of the engraver. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5467.html
Yes - German state of Julich-Berg (confusingly Gulich und Berg on the coin), 1/2 Stuber 1794, minted in Dusseldorf. KM # 205. Scheide Munze - that is token coinage and no bullion value in copper. My 3rd edition Krause gives it USD in VG.
Boy you guys really know your stuff. I couldn't even find the denomination "Stuber" Anyway, I want to thank everyone that responded to the post. Mike
