Does Anybody Know Ebay Seller MBARRCOINS ?

    I would like to contact him concerning shipment of an item I won in one of his auctions.
    I bid on and won the item, yet when I attempt to pay, the Ebay system tells me the seller will not ship to Germany and I should request a new total, which I have done.
    No success so far. Maybe somebody knows how I can contact the seller directly?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Sounds like it is because of the virus and they can not ship them out. Maybe get a refund. Could be out of the sellers control. Try contacting him again.

    I clicked on his Shipping and Payments and chose Germany and it shows a USD shipping charge of $16.76 with possible import charges on a random item, so it appears he does ship to Germany.

    I don't know his personal contact information, but I have purchased from him twice before the COVID slowdown and I got my stuff fairly quickly with no issues. I have several coins I have purchased from around the world (nothing special) in early April that I haven't received yet. Some keep trickling in and it doesn't appear to be any pattern.

    Thank you, guys!

    This is very strange - I was able to bid without problems. This means, as you mention, that he does ship to Germany.

    Yet, when I attempt to pay for the item, as requested, I get the following pop-up:

    I have contacted him via Ebay with a request for a new total, as requested by Ebay but no success so far. I don't want to cancel the sell as I want the item.
    Also, there is regular mail service between the US and Germany as I get mail from the U.S quite often.

    It's after midnight here in the US, so you may have to wait until tomorrow for him to reply.

    I know him, not personally, but as a buyer. I have bought from him for years with never a major problem. He has free shipping, which may be why you're having a problem with shipping to Germany. I doubt if shipping all the way to Germany would be free.

    M.Barr is actually a large company with many employees. He does ship to other countries though I didn't see a list of which ones.

    He has posted this since the Covid-19 problem came up :

    Again I don't know exactly what was posted on your coin's page, but if you contact him during his business hours (U.S. time), I'm sure they will reply. They always answer me.
    He sends out business cards with every purchase and if I could find one I'd give you his phone number.

    He has so many items listed that it takes hours to look at them all. He also has so many bidders that it's hard to win something at a reasonable price, which is why I have gradually been buying less and less from him, but I still do now and then. I just bought some items from him on April 29.

    Anyway, Good Luck, I'm sure things will turn out OK.

    Mbarr is a very large coin dealer. They are only open m through f 9 to 5 eastern u.s. time. They are very good about getting back and I know they ship to other countries. I buy from them all the time. Sometimes their shipping is horribly slow. Tracking stays on "shipment received Package acceptance pending for almost 5 days before it moves. At least lately for me. Just be patient. And if you don't like your purchase they take it back no questions asked.

    Meow has bought from this seller, and has found that the seller was reputable and communicated well in a timely manner. Meow would suggest you message the seller using the standard messaging system, and not the messaging system related to the payment system.

    Thank you @Hookman , I really appreciate the info.
    I have sent him a few requests for an Update on Shipping already without any replies since yesterday. I guess the current situation has something to do with this - I will just have to wait it out until Monday.

    Shipping was actually included in the auction win notification from Ebay, so I don't understand what is happening that I cannot proceed to pay for the thing.

    Same here and returns are simple, prompt, no questions asked.

    Watching the Minneapolis post office go up in flames on the TV news last night, I have deleted all of my snipe bids, and will wait it out until cooler heads take over.

    I have bought from them also with no problems, delivery from Frederick MD to WV was two days, I would wait until Monday and try and call the Store and explain the situation, good luck!

    He also sells on a site called propertyroom auctions. but after looking around their site I could not find out how to contact him directly, only the site itself. I have purchased many items from him and only ever had one issue. I won an auction at a very low price(way below book) and oddly enough the item became no longer available. my payment was refunded immediately. But I would rather have had the coin.

  17. Check out the Global Shipping Program on Ebay to see current
    requirements; have used in prior sales. The seller ships to the
    site in Kentucky, where processing and reshipping occurs. The seller
    is notified when the item has been successfully shipped...
    If using PayPal, there should not have been a problem...

    This is just color commentary at this point, since you got good info on this seller - but I wanted to share just in case. I asked them a few weekends ago (via eBay messaging) if they could provide better pics of a coin I was considering. I got my reply Monday morning, May 18, from a person named Andrew: "I'm sorry, this item is at an inventory fulfillment center and we are unable to pull it for additional photos :("

    Seeing the size of their feedback, the complexity of having a separate fulfillment center, and the fact that they didn't reply til Monday morning - your best bet is a call during business hours, looks like!

    But I will say, I appreciated their prompt reply; I've had dealings with people where messages just go off into the ether and that's never a good thing.

    What was the purchase? Just a coin I presume. The notice you received did not say "This seller doesn't ship to Germany". It says "This item does not ship to Germany. Could there be some obscure regulation Barring that item from shipping to Germany? If not it may be a staffing issue at Barr due to the COVID lock down farce. I've purchased from Barr several times and been very satisfied.
