Does anybody keep acid dipped wheat pennies?

    If you didn't have a new fuse, you could put a cent in the fuse socket and screw the bad fuse back in. Not safe to do but you had power.

    Apparently these are the things they used to do with pennies way back in the 20th century.

    I had an old 85 ford box truck total piece of crap I used a penny for the taillight fuse for a couple years until I finally got rid of that lemon for good

    Yes, when they still made copper ( Bronze) cents unlike the zinc copper shell that people collect today. I would love to try one of those in a fuse box after I closed the door.
