Forgive me, I am a coin collector, in the last thirty years, I haven't done to bad, I watch the ups and downs, chuckle at some, grimace at others, I love silver and gold, when I'm dead, and they profit, my family may smile, or have it all taken away through capital gains, through the Fed's., who now's?, It's a crap shoot. I love what I collect, to look at them, to search for them, come on, It Is a passion, Bullion, Hmm, what are you going to do 'mit it, who you going to sell it to, who you going to trade it to. your looking at a civil society ..that may not exist.. God save us.. Pb maybe the metal of choice, let's hope not.
Sounds like you are a TRUE collector, Galen. I usually don't give too much thought on what my collection may be worth in 10, 25, or 100 years from now. Happy and enjoyable collecting!
i usually don't either but what i do think while I'm watching those post-apocalyptic movies, i think "MAN if something like that ever happens, my coins will be worth nothing then" lol :too-funny:
I guess what I'm trying to say, my love of collecting, outweighs my love of $$, My friends who are very much into bullion, look on it as flipping houses, rather than collection, I.E. the beauty of the coin, bar, slab, whatnot.
