Edit: Physics fan, your prooflike set is incredible!

Yeah any PCGS coins that were already in there were grandfathered and the points count. They said in the new version you won't be able to view ranks by NGC points only. All the grandfathered pcgs points count and can't switch back and forth.

As with any time something changes, it takes time to get used to. I was used to the old version. Now the new version does visually look much better. I like viewing my set full screen. I had no problem adding info and pics. I photograph everything myself using my copy stand and a Canon T3i. Sometimes I'll use seller's photo of it if it's high quality. There's a lot of sets where people don't add any pics. Now that they allow you to use NGCs pics there's really no excuse to not have photos.

I only do one. The US type set including moderns is about my only focus now. I'm 136th out of 668 atm. I really like the registry. I don't care about the ranks as much as being able to look at other people's sets and even my own from anywhere at any time online. I have a friend that has a set going too. When he gets a new coin he might text me and I can log in and look at it in his set.

Even for those ticked off that their PCGS coins don't count, the custom set is a great way to add them and its fun to do so!

Just had a chance to explore the new NGC registry. For browsing sets and looking at images, it's an improvement. The large fonts are over-the-top though .. great for the vision-impaired. However, it's not as good as the old format for comparing sets, obtaining statistics, doing what-if scenarios, etc. For some purposes, it's just better to get more data on a screen like the old format allows. Seems like there should be a happy medium.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I think they've been optimizing things for the people who browse on their phones. That's what they did with the census and price guide, and that's the direction they're going with the Registry. It bugs me too, but it seems like a lot of websites are moving in that direction.

I like the new registry much more than the old one. I wasn't a fan of the old format.
