Anyone have all three of the 1992 Commemorative Christopher Columbus coins?

I don't believe I have the gold, but I made a special effort to get an example of the dollar -- something about that split design with the sails and the Shuttle really grabbed me.

    I appreciate all the responses!
I also appreciate learning a few things during this thread :woot:

And just an FYI, my Osborne Coinage catalog came today... it's genuinely lovely, beautifully printed and plenty of pages.
Get on their website and get one!

...I think there's going to be a custom coin for some event or whatever at some point in my future. Seems like a fun thing to do :p

These are coins that I was never aware of as well. Our little town had a festival last weekend and my wife and I went. Its a very small town with shops and restaurants down both sides of 2 lane Main Street. We always go into every shop in town and buy junk we really don't need (except for the homemade molasses an preserves, we, or I, need those to shore up my figure) but it is fun.

One antique shop had a whole box i would say probably 50 or so of these coins. I studied on them for a while and knew they had to have some importance in history but it never dawned on me they were ration tokens. I plan now to go back and get them or at least get the shop owner to properly label the box so the rest of the world knows what they are.

I was actually aware of the food ration tokens/coins but always just assumed they were some how made by the Mint or the Fed...assumed for decades lol.

I knew of the coupons but didn't know they made these for coupon change.
