My guess is Lorthior designed one back in his day, a few were struck, and then it was restruck in the late 19th century, thus, the reason they call it a restrike.

    Hi Garrett-

I have this same coin and am looking for info on it. I read the thread, but noticed it was from 2009. Did you ever find anything else out about it? Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have a 1901 National Bank of North America in New York silver coin and cannot seem to find anything on it other than it was given out at the bicentennial dinner and that it was made by Tiffany & Co. Any help on this one would be great too. Thanks again. Rita :D
