A new coin from Dorney. Divas Constantine1 . I do not understand the Divas for 1 year. What’s the deal on that. Another coin at a reasonable price. I like the horse Quadriga on the reverse. A very small coin. People must have lost them all the time…OOPS, there it goes down the toilet out of my Toga….
DIVVS - means he is deified. It's a memorial issue. Constantine is riding the chariot to heaven as God reaches out his hand to receive him.
I've got lots of the two more common types -- those are just the two that were handy at the moment -- but that's my only one of the Divus Constantine Aequitas (~15mm, 1.90g, Ex Agora 18, 14 Oct 2014, 148). (Sorry for image quality, took these group shots just now!)
here's the 4th DIVUS type from an example that has since been sold Constantine I posthumous issue A.D. 337- 340 14x15mm 1.5gm DIVO CONSTANTINO P; Veiled head right AETERNA PIETAS; Emperor in military dress, standing right, holding spear and globe; in r. field X. In ex. PCONST RIC VIII Arles 17
