    Larry:

    It goes like this..

There are 12 Districts in which currency is circulated within the USA.
We are looking for collectors to each grab a District and try to assemble a set of notes $1.oo through whatever denomination you would like. If you want to put stars in it, well thats fine, if no stars, well thats fine too.
Would you like to pick a District?

As a new member to the group, I have to show my first new p/u. I have been searching auctions for over a year to find this note, a 2003 D star to compete the district set of stars. Only one run of 320,000 notes printed, I got this one from Don C Kelly....

Do you guys know of a way to put the list with us and our 12 districts and what we collect on the front of the social group page?
I can't edit the first post of ours in our forums so I was thinking it should be somewhere were people first visit. Or do you have a better idea?

I now have my basic St. Louis Federal Reserve District Notes spreadsheets set up in Excel. I have a sheet for each of the small denominations: 1928 - Present and including *stars*.

My spreadsheet columns are set up, left to right, as so:

    Fr. No.|Series
    |Series Letter|Treasury Signatures|Quantity Printed|Grade| My Comments|Serial Number|Date Acquired|Cost|
    S/H Costs|Market prices

I am working on the smaller denominations first, $1 - $20, but also set up sheets for $50 & $100 notes for when the time comes. From my count, for the $1 - $20 notes I am starting out with, it looks like I need at the very lest 216 different notes to complete this leg of the journey!!! :rolling:

It does seem overwhelming, or at least it did while creating the spreadsheets, but now that I have an overview, and not even looking yet at prices, it doesn't seem impossible. Time will tell of my successes... I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead.

Well I thought I would provide a little motivation ..here is the 34 A set (non stars) for you to see.

I am planning on re-posting the complete Series 1934 C Star Note Set shortly for New York. That set took 4.5 years to finish..

Hope you enjoy these from $1000 down to $5

    Great notes...

Was that 4.5 years just for the Series 1934 C Star Note Set?

I'm patient but that set will take me more time I bet.

Yes...you see Duke, the $20 Notes had a plate/design change and there are 8 total notes needed just for the $20's...

There are 4 stars and 4 reg notes Old Back and New Back...
Here they are; Thank God no $100 were printed for NY..that is a very expensive note you guys will need to find..

The prices rise quiclky on this Series and the 34 D ... most all Series 28 and 34 Stars are getting quite expensive...good luck on your hunts.

The best deal I got on these was the $50..it was 2:00 AM at an online auction and I was the sole bidder..sweet price but the sleep depravation was costly ...

    Regards,
