My other hobby is that I keep Poison Dart frogs, I just set up a couple new Vivariums and bought three new sets of frogs. (and my wife just bought a purebred Chocolate Lab)

Glad to see you dropped in Rick. Hope all is well and getting better with each day. :thumb:

I'm still on the hunt for my district notes. Save for the keys, I'm about 8 notes shy of finishing the $1 denomination small FRNs for St. Louis.

I'm looking more towards $5s and $10s next. Just have a few of each of those currently.

Mine is more of a hodge podge as most of my $1's are done but many of the $5 and $10's too. I even picked up 2 error from my district and even a few $50's.
It takes time and money but I'm getting there.

Well it's been a few years.
    How are the sets coming?
    Any new great purchases?

Some nice simple additions towards my ST Louis set, but other sets and collections have perhaps enjoyed more attention recently:D

I think that happened to us all when RickieB left.
But it's the journey not the destination.

Good to hear from you Krispy.

Pick up a couple every now and then and look around for an 81 k* $1 every couple years.

Wow, I haven't been on here in a while, but I'm still the 3C guy... I need to get back to it! I haven't looked for one in a while, I'm afraid to admit.

Is this group still getting together? Was reading this thread and thought it was pretty cool. Since I live in Maine maybe I might look at the Boston District? This of course depends on budget and starting small like a series set with all denominations $1-$100, has anyone done this yet?

I still work on my small size St. Louis district FRNs. Always nice to know of others out there focused on similar pursuits. Doesn't really matter what another collector is working on, if the idea interests you, go with it and which ever denominations and district you like. :)

Well I did buy a star bill recently from District 4, that sort of blows my plan but I liked it a lot.

I just found this thread and thought that I would like it. I have been collecting the $1 FRN's since the late 60's after the silver went out of coins.
I would like to share some of my efforts but do not know how (still a newby).
I will only share two for now. They are my 1988a F-* WEB note and my 1995 Small Back Plate "295" Engraving Error G-*. I really like the error-notes that I find.

after taking a hard look at what I said before I have to withdraw, that seems impossible. The cost alone for $5 bills if I can find them are mostly out of my price range. Looks like I am too late to the party, again.

Thanks... It will take me a day or three, but I can scan some of the more memorable items that I prize. Is a scan the same as adding a Pix?
