Quick general question. What are you all doing with the 2003 $2 bills. Where they just printed as collector items or where they actually released? Are you including them in the set?
I went through the Schwartz Lindquist book and made a spreadsheet of all the notes for $1 - $20 including stars and it is 264 notes in total!!! Quite daunting, that includes the large size federal reserve notes too. So two more pickups for Richmond, which means I only have 259 to go!
I feel your pain with the realization of how big a challenge this collection will be once you've put together a spreadsheet. Nice ★ notes! And a great grade on the $20★ too!
Nice start Beef!! Rome wan't built in a day. And this isn't a sprint...just take your time and you'll have 25% before you know it.
1999 $10 * run of 640,000, total number of E* 675,200 I hope you all can help me a little. This batch of notes are relatively recent prints and were bought raw, can you all help a little with grading as I don't fully understand it? All of these notes are uncirculated fresh from packs, but I want some idea of how the grades are based on the front and back and margins. I think the $1 and the $5 are at least gem, but the back of the $5 has a larger margin on the bottom. I think the $10 is probably choice based on the bottom margin on the front. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, please be critical.
Picked up the following recently, a little older then I said I was going to collect but still SF. Here is where I stand, Small bills $1 23 of 24, missing 1981A $1* 12 of 21 $2 2 of 2 $2* 1 of 1 $5 15 of 35 $10 10 of 34 large bills FR 3 of 7
Guys, I have a $100.00 that's has a lower # that's not listed in the "Small-Size U.S. Paper Money", 6th edition by Oakes and Schwartz. It's # is AE00048615*/E5/A1/A304/145 in F condition. The book list on p. 300 as the low # starting at AE00885531*, High as AE03200000*. My question is how to let the authors know that the low is lower? -O)

I have bought a few smaller notes as well but was too lazy to take pictures. I think the last one was a $1 1985 star.

Some new pick ups for my St. Louis FRN district collection: Back in post #109 I shared this star note: F-2037H* $10 2003 Marin | Snow Now, I have two (2) of the non-stars [Many thanks to Duke for the heads up on these! :thumb:] F-2037H 2003 $10 PMG 67 EPQ SN: DH02669911A F-2037H 2003 $10 PMG 67 EPQ SN: DH02669966A Next up... My first large size FRN for my district set: F-874 1914 $5 FRN St. Louis (8-H) Blue Seal I would like to aim higher for stain-free notes and bright paper, but the stains (mainly around the margins) didn't bother me too much since the portrait is free of stains, severe creases and no pin-holes. Heritage says this note is a F to VF. This note is also (finally!) my first HA win. :smile St. Louis Federal Reserve Seal - Detail Treasury Department Seal - Detail Lincoln's portrait - Detail
