Alone? That's very funny ;) Mine is embarrassing on a couple of levels. First is the fact that I lost an entire display and series of silver. I don't even remember exactly what it was that I lost, other than where it was from. And that leads me to the second part of the embarrassing act. The series was from the Franklin Mint. I was young and stupid. So sue me :) The thing is, they were I believe a presidential medal series. All over 1 troy oz, actual weight was 1 troy oz of silver. So the fact that there was zero numismatic value isn't important. There were I believe 35 medals (I could be wrong on that count). That means 35 ozs of silver, albeit melt value, is gone missing. I bought the series, one per month, back in the mid 80's. So melt today would be $800+. My wife and I moved 5 times in our first 7 years of marriage. So those medals could be anywhere. I don't even recall the last time I saw them, let alone when they went missing. So all you folks that fess up to losing a coin or two or three, HA! I went for the full Monty and misplaced 35 medals/ozs!!! Talk about a dim bulb, 51 cards short of a full deck, the lights are on but nobody's home. You name it. That's me. Carry on......
