<p>[QUOTE="BenSi, post: 4545786, member: 95174"]<b>Alexius II</b>, no coins known, every time an issue has been suspected it has been eliminated for practical reasons. If any coin was found for the boy <a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=king" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=king" rel="nofollow">king</a> it would be a treasure. More than likely <a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=his" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=his" rel="nofollow">his</a> father’s coinage continued to be minted for <a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=his" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=his" rel="nofollow">his</a> short reign. <a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=doc" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=doc" rel="nofollow">DOC</a> 41 now attributed to <a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/catalog/roman-and-greek-coins.asp?vpar=883" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/catalog/roman-and-greek-coins.asp?vpar=883" rel="nofollow">Alexius I</a> by Michael <a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=hendy" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=hendy" rel="nofollow">Hendy</a> has been previously thought to have been Alexius II and even <a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/catalog/roman-and-greek-coins.asp?vpar=939" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/catalog/roman-and-greek-coins.asp?vpar=939" rel="nofollow">Alexius III</a>. The fact that the Alexius on this coin appears bearded seems to eliminate the boy Emperor who died at age 14.
