Discolored quarter

There are a gazillion possible ways that a coin can discolor while in circulation. When you find a book that lists them all, please let me know.

Just Environmental Damage.. Clad will darken when exposed to the elements.
Not a Mint Error.

Looks like they were left in a bucket of water, and left out in the
Cold...LOL
