Now I see where they have moved the shipping date back to the 19th. This is the first time I have bought from the mint and so far it seems like every other retailer, long on promise and short on delivery. Oh yeah I forgot it's the government thats how it was designed to work.

I thought they were not shipping until the 20th ....

 

When is everyone going to realize that orders are filled in the order they were received and the date on the website means nothing.

I got my 2010 presidents before they even sent me email saying they were shipped.

 

Just checked my order this morning. I ordered 4 proofs and 2 unc with a 200-coin Kennedy bag. They sent the Kennedy bag out this past Monday by itself. The status of the silver changed to 'in stock and reserved' with no update on the expected shipping date. Before they sent out the Kennedy I believe the date was 3/14.

 

Remember your first time? Did it go as expected? Did someone else tell you how it would be? Just kidding It was my first order from the mint and I am glad to know some of mine are on the way. How would you know it was shipped based on the order of purchase. But again I learn something new on cointalk everyday.

 

My buddy order 100 of the proofs and he just received them today. He did pay for next day air shipping.

 

I ordered mine on the 25th of February and my current status on the site says:

WoW my CC was finally charged last night..I cant believe the mint is still pushing back the shipping date until 25 MAR 2010.

I recieved conformation on shipment, should have in a couple of days, low mintage and advertizing like Lincoln, I am betting on a quick sell out??? who knows, the braile dollar flopped and now I think I would like one...

 

Mine were shipped on the 9th and are scheduled to be here on the 15.

I ordered it February 25th.

 

Mine came in yesterday! They look better in person, especially the proofs.

 

Just checked my Fed-Ex and thay are saying that mine is to be delivered on tuesday the 16th..

 

I got my five yesterday. Unfortunately, they all have visible lint inside the capsules. I'm not one who submits commems to grading companies in the hopes of receiving PF-70's, so I guess I shouldn't care. The only thing that I need to worry about are toning spots. I hate how those things form on proof coins even when you store them in a dry, cool place

Judging from the official rate of sales thus far, it looks unlikely that this coin will sell out, yes? Buying 100 coin lots seems ultra speculative to me, but maybe dealers/collectors are more clever/knwoledgeable than I am (and see some valid reason to invest in such coins).

 

I understand from a reliable source, that various Veterans Organizations are purchasing 100 coin lots and are distributing and providing them as gifts, bestowing them as appreciation of service and offering them for sale to members and families who do not normally buy from the US Mint.
I am sure this is a very small number of the current 100 lot purchases, though!
