Three years later, I removed one of them to take some photos, and I discovered that the edge of the Morgan had turned completely black. When I checked the others, all of them had turned black. I sent them in to NCS for conservation along with one of the rings for them to examine. NCS was unable to come up with a cause for this.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Maybe the early accent rings had some sort of die or chemical that reacted with the silver. I don&#039;t know.
