Not True. You need to get you facts right. No one here SHOULD BE INTERESTED IN BELIEFS...Especially coming from the UNINFORMED. The only opinions which should matter can be backed up with proof. Now, I don't know what your definition of a heated argument is AS WE HAVE BECOME A NATION OF BRAIN WASHED , but I don't recall EVER being mad at anyone here - what's the point. However, I will gladly confess to being sarcastic and derogatory while trying to correct UNIVERSALLY KNOWN TO BE MISINFORMATION. And the Moderators have put me/us on alert so you'll get no more derogatory statements. However, some sarcasm may slip in on occasion as it is in my nature. My post was EDITED on the lying thread because I referred to a female trait that caused me to appear out-of-sorts.
Good point. Answer: No. If a person believes something to be true, that is an unshakable truth to them (even if more enlightened folks know it to be false). Those with an open mind to discussion MAY have their opinion changed to reflect an "alternative truth" which they now will consider "the truth."
Easy. On a thread about lying, I wished to "stir" (add humor) the pot and I made up a batch of lies THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ACTUAL COINS or numismatics (one of my favorite subjects). I am more interested in debating you about your opinions BECAUSE IMO (which I can back up), you are DEFENDING nonsense and misinformation about dies, luster, and dipping. I learn from other people and USUALLY the stronger they are able to present their case the more chance to learn and change mine. So bring it on...
@Idhair: Please alert everyone here of one contradiction I have posted concerning COINS or numismatics. SO FAR NO ANSWERS from the "Ex"-"Perts." Perhaps you know of one so I can clarify my error?
Quote the dictionary on use of the word "too". You made such a big deal about how wrong I has, show us the facts and I'll show you the contradictions.
Fair enough, I'll waste more of my time on you TOO: 1. in addition. 2. to an excessive extent: too ignorant to understand 3. extremely or vary: It's too expected for you to avoid my question. 4. Informal. to be sure. Now I'm waiting for one of my contradictions about numismatics/coins. In over a thousand posts I'm afraid you might find one and shut me up If you do, you'll earn a big LIKE! I hate misinformation and contradictions
I GOT TOO TIRED OF WAITING: Note to @Idhair: These are your posts in this thread. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing in them that advances numismatics or this discussion. Oops I'm wrong. You did provide a really important observation that E-Z-Est is an acid. You think? I did. Did you read it. Did you understand it? Do it all the time - one of my nicknames is "Dipper." AND YOU"LL BE SURE TO POINT OUT WHICH ONE, RIGHT? Perhaps when some inexperienced knuckle-head who should not touch a coin tries to dip it. Already did. Finally, in one of the threads here on CT the facts came out. Have you found it and read it yet. I wrote where to look. Thanks for your contribution. Depends on a lot of things. It's better for you to look it up and experiment. Perhaps it will open your eyes and last longer in your memory. Still waiting Yes. I did. Still waiting. I did. Still waiting
I've heard this said so many times but don't understand why. I've dipped silver coins a few times and have been successful every time. Every coin I dipped has been a 20th century UNC silver. First time I ever attempted dipping coins I did a batch of about 10 Franklins that had tan colored water spotting all over them from a roll. Every single one looked perfect when I was done.
Simply just dip the coin in the solution for a few seconds, probably about 3 or 4. Then I quickly get the coin under some hot/warm water for a few seconds. Then add liquid hand soap and run it under hot/warm water again for 15-20 seconds. Then lightly pat dry.
@Idhair: Still waiting... EDIT: In the spirit of good discussions and "playing nice" on CT in the future, I've decided to ALSO let you "weasel out" of your statement about me.
Yeah, Good point. The earth's not flat and the sun doesn't go around the earth. I originally started to type: Universally known for now... Should have remembered several scientists were lurking around CT.
Evidently someone has entered the characteristics of either a troll or a childish member seeking attention. More Timeouts will be given if necessary. Stop this crap, and you don't need a dictionary to know what that means.
