I think he got the date from Bastien, who is the authority on coins of Lyons. </p><p><br /></p><p>The reverse type is</p><p>IOVI AVGG</p><p>Jupiter standing left holding Victory on globe and long staff, eagle at feet left. "A" below.</p><p>Diocletian was the Jovian emperor, so a type with IOVI and the image of Jupiter is appropriate. </p><p><br /></p><p>I struck out in a few recent auctions, so I thought I would see if vcoins had something for me.
