My son gave me this dime he found, its after 2000 mint mark is D, face is missing. Does anyone know if it could be valuable? Or information on it? Thank you in advance! :)

Sorry for the disappointing news, but it's not an error nor is it valuable. The obverse (front) was probably sanded down or otherwise abraded. It did not leave the mint looking like that.

Agreed. Coins are damaged quite frequently by accident or on purpose. When one side is reasonably normal and the opposite side massively damaged, it's usually done on purpose. But not always. I've pulled dimes and cents out of the family washer that the exposed side/surface is worn off but the opposite side still untouched. Damaged either way; worth face value if it can be passed off.
