They already did that, way back when. Those customer alerts don't stay up there indefinitely . Their website gets updated weekly. What is outdated and no longer pertinent , is gone forever from view.
There is a possibility if you contacted them , they may be able to provide you with all the public notifications that are now archived. Can't say for sure. I'm still unclear as to what exactly you are looking for specifically . Another point to consider is that , perhaps whatever communications that were made regarding the sales of this item were e-mailed directly to actual BUYERS , which you state you never were. Their obligation is to their Customers , not the entire cyberspace world. Looks like I'm not the only a bit confused about your post. Try this, take a breath , compose yourself and re-state what you are looking for and why ? I really want to help you , but unless I'm clear as to what your request is , I can't. Tom.
Perhaps you've been misreading my exclamation marks as a strong emotional reaction. (My wife pointed out that I even use exclamation marks in my check book!) In a nutshell, my beef was that the "taking orders Jan 11, Don't call" and later "we'll keep you posted, watch this space...don't call" postings ran on their website for the entire month of January. I'm guessing that PFCBEGA had his "barely made it on the list" order in before Christmas. Would you agree that that kind of policy could lead to quite a few disgruntled non-customers?!
That message was intended for those customers who had already placed their order and paid for the item through their website. If had not completed a purchase transaction with your CC at that time , you were out of luck , as they were completely sold out . Those customers who had paid those inflated charges , were issued refunds and only charged the prices as was established under the approved Dealer program. It was such a mess , even those approved dealer wholesalers didn't know whether they were coming or going according to the mint . The " Watch this space " notification was for future sales, if and when the Coins were made available by the mint. I see absolutely no reason to hold the Dealer , Dillion Gage in contempt , for anything else than their ridiculous first offering prices. Which IMHO was nothing short of price Gouging , but that was across the board with every mint approved Dealer. Count yourself fortunate , you did not shell out those bucks . The mint will be releasing the Collector versions and even though they too will be in short supply , prices for these will drop like shoe within a year or two in the secondary markets. The entire mess , was IMHO entirely the MINT"S to begin with. Look at the recent forum topics on the right side>>>>>>> Fidelitrade is offering the 5 coin set for under $1,000.00
Thanks for the detailed response but your story is about APMEX. If post #24 wasn't clear than my problem with DG cannot be explained! PS: What up, PFCBEGA. Apology not accepted?! So was I right about your order being in December? Maybe I should have thrown an ATB in the thread's title!...
Final bump? Not one of us (that doesn't work at an coin auction house) got or knows anything about the DG pucks? Interesting... at least to me!
