I don't expect many here to get the correct answers on any quiz. They are learning. WE ALL ARE on some discussions. Most folks don't examine coins at high power. Most here on CT are not close to <b>your</b> expertise either. <span style="color: rgb(179, 0, 0)">Playing "gotcha"</span> would be very, very boring. I try to make these things fun, with lots of twists. It takes a lot of effort to make one of these up. The point is to make posters THINK and to train their eye for detail. My teachers did not give us the answers to the quiz beforehand. Any member who posts a reply is a winner to me.</p><p><br /></p><p>Sorry, I'm not able to post an entire coin so my posts will always be images of small characteristics or small parts of an entire coin. I wish I could post GTG challenges. They take no effort/time and teach plenty.</p><p><br /></p><p>Now, let's take the edge of #2 the genuine coin. THERE IS NO WAY ON EARTH THAT <b><font size="6">ANYONE</font></b> WOULD KNOW THAT COIN EDGE WAS ON A FAKE OR GENUINE COIN. That is one of the best comments that could have been given. "The edge looks damaged so who knows!" Few posters realized the edge was damaged. No gotcha, but I'll bet they'll know the next time . IMO, the posters who got the best out of this quiz are the members who wrote what they saw in each image and then took a guess.</p><p><br /></p><p>PS "Why would anyone need to authenticate a coin simply from the edge?"
