The large date is most noticeable as having the 9 being taller than the 1. The small date is the 1 and 9 being the same height. </p><p>Go to the site and scroll through the coins pictured. Then you will need to check the little spot under the description that is in blue print... EDS, MDS, LDS. That is Early, Mid, and Late Die States.
