Die error 1942 penny?

    Hi all again
    Just got into looking for the error
    type coins have I have accumulated over the years.
    Found this 1942 on the reverse
    of coin is this die strike error?
    Sorry about white spects in flip
    need to change flip company.

    I believe this is a lamination error, which is actually a planchet defect rather than a die or striking error.

    That's right - a lamination, due to improper metal
    mixture of the planchet strip.

    Welcome to CoinTalk
    As the others have stated it's a Planchet Defect known as Lamination. Very common on wheat Cents.
