I don't remember what I buried them in but I could never find them when my family decided to move when I was 17. So they have been in the back yard for over 20 years!! The only reason they made it through the depression is because she never used a bank. They were also able to buy more land in 1933. All of the 5000+ acres are still in the family today. When my great grandma died she had a key to safe deposit box at a bank. She said when she died go to the box and get everything out. My family went to the box and inside was lots of pictures and the various other thing....well while searching the box we found a treasure map. The map was of grandma's front yard. She had buried money in mason jars all over the yard. Each jar had a different type of coin. Like she would have a jar with buffalo nickels, wheat cents, peace dollars and many more. I don't remember how many mason jars there were but there was well over fifty. Anyways we can across a jar with a stack of 100 1957 silver certificates all unc in serial # order. We divided everything among the family.[/QUOTE]
