[QUOTE="green18, post: 800351, member: 10103"]Evening People. I'm sitting here in the living room, playing on my daughters lap-top, watching PBS and logged onto our favorite site (CT). Just finished watching a documentary on "Yellowstone" Excellent documentary. Why am I watching PBS? No frigggin' college "hoops" on ESPN. Only winter games stuff or "Millrose" games (track). No college football (That's gone the way of the California Condor, at least for another six months). Which brings me to the point....what the heck is the "draw" about coin collecting? What the heck makes me feel so darned interested in something that so many people ('cept for you folks here) wouldn't even give an extra thought to? "Die Marriages", "struck throughs", "RPM's", "State Quarters", "classic commem's", "modern commems"....I can see their eyes glazin' over. Is there something wrong with me? Am I in need of serious counseling by a medical professional? What the heck is it that keeps me driven and motivated in this hobby. For the life of me I can't understand it. I should have become bored with coin collecting ages ago, and yet, I'm still interested, still passionate about the hobby. I'm surfing the TV channels, looking for any kind of "manly" sport worthy of my liking and yet, I'm still drawn to this site, aching for interaction with fellow collectors. Is there hope for me?

Thoughts?
