That's awesome Paddy! I actually saw your thread about that hunt in the US Coins forum. I'll be on cloud nine when I find my first silver! So far I've been doing a little bit of detecting in my roommates backyard. Some scrap metal, a 1975D nickel and a 1969 cent thus far in a cumulative probably 3 hours and change over the course of a couple different afternoons. So far I'm just getting accustomed to the detector and figuring out which settings are most compatible with what I'm searching for and where. I'd have done more detecting by now but my plans have been foiled a few times already on account of CONSTANT rain every weekend in September up here in the Boston area :shifty: But hey, the way I see it that just means we're due for a gorgeous weekend :D Even though the two coins i found are super common I was still oddly excited to discover them lol. Once I get a modest collection of finds going I'm gonna act on Kevin's suggestion and buy some folders and see how close I can come to filling them. Filling holes is always fun.. and I mean that in the most PG way  I look forward to seeing more of your future hauls.. and hopefully uncovering some of my own soon enough. Happy hunting!

By the way.. Whats the story behind the Taurus coin, any idea?

I’m feeling the itch to do some detecting. I’m just too busy of late.

That's unreal! You really oughta organize and/or display them! Yeah 16D is an SOB lol, I'm sure there are a few buried out there somewhere though. Unearth any 21s or 31s?
