Here is my entry: What, we were already waist deep in meems... denomination will be on edge, which will be plain. denomination will be half dollar, maybe dollar, what do yall think?
Chuck Norris doesn't mow his lawn, he stands outside and dares it to grow. There was life on Mars, but Chuck Norris visited there once.
Is it a good sign that I got liked by the contest holder? (bump) come on yall, surely there are lots of you who have tallent (or at least like coins enough to try)
I did caz one chuck better There didn't use to be giraffes, but then one day a horse made the unfortunate mistake of stepping on chuck norris. one uppercut later, the giraffe was born! Chuck norris can slam a revolving door! They were going to put chuck norris on mount rushmore, but the granit wasn't hard enough for his beard! Kids check their closet for the boogeyman before they go to bed. the boogeyman checks his closet for chuck norris!
Ohh, but your Chuck Norris facts are all wrong! Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas. Dinosaurs made Chuck Norris angry. Once. Fear of spiders is arachnophobia. Tight spaces is called claustrophobia. The fear of Chuck Norris is called Logic. Ghosts sit around a camp fire and tell Chuck Norris stories. Jesus walked on water. Chuck Norris swam in land. Chuck Norris won American Idol using Sign Language. Chuck Norris Touched MC Hammer Chuck Norris knows Victoria's Secret. I've got all my facts straight. How 'bout you? My nickname with some friends is Chuck (Morris)
My entry Here's mine. I now know what the Buffalo designer felt like when he had no room for anything! I couldn't find an appropiate place to fit the value (1/5/10 cents) nor U.S.A., so presumably it's on the unseen reverse (just like the Buffalo nickel!) As for what's on the (seen) obverse...it's typical Lady Liberty (marked by her LIBERTY tiara/crown) holding up a torch (also) symbolizing Liberty, declaring freedom for all who can see her torch. In her left hand is a shield symbolizing justice, in which L.L. defends against corruption and supports the righteous. I felt it should be mentioned on this design since IMHO it always goes unnoticed and never highlighted on coins. Her flowing hair represents our country's growing history. And of course there's the "In God We Trust", which speaks for itself. Hope you like it! (Excuse the many erase/stray marks) On a side note...thank goodness for compasses!
when chuck norris steps in water, he doesn't get wet, the water gets chuck norris! chuck norris died in 2000, but death has just been affraid to come get him. Chuck norris is Walker, Texas Ranger. Chuck norris's tears can cure cancer. unfortunately, he has never cried. Chuck norris counted to infinity... twice! Underneath chuck norris's beard, theres not a chin, just another fist. when chuck norris does push ups, he doesn't push himself up, he pushes the earth down. Chuck norris is the only person who can kick you in the back of the face. There is a simple solution to secure the border: Chuck norris have I made my case? I did not look this up, this is from memory.
This is a little enticement. The prize...I love all of the designs so far, but for the rest of you, get to work. Sorry my images are so poor, but the luster is quite nice.
Beautiful coin but is there a second place? Cause no one is beating AngelKitty's design. That thing is beautiful.
Maybe so, I have given a second prize in every contest that I have held so far. Maybe first place will be what others have voted for, and second place will be my personal favorite. Just give it a try, we may change US coinage yet.
Yes, the satisfaction of knowing that your design could be chosen to be on United States coinage if a random Mint official would visit this page and see your design
Last place prize will be a badly damaged, holed, polished and bent Lincoln Memorial cent. Or an ugly (black spots, we will call them "toning") proof 1990-S Lincoln cent that someone on ebay sent me as a free gift.
My design Thanks for a great contest. Here's my shot at it. My poor artistry is supposed to depict an olive branch and sword in the eagle's mouth.
Well, this is my poor cut and paste coin. This would be the commemorative for the 250th anniversary of the United States. The reverse would have the Statue of LIberty, along with the both E Pluribus Unum and In God We Trust. You would be able to get this coin in either one ounce silver or one ounce gold.
