Agreed. Sell it raw in the shop. Pricing it at $750 should be fair. Maybe a bit high, but fair.

I don't have a lot of customers for the Ancients in house currently... I may explore other avenues for sale but of course will offer a full inspection and return.

    Thanks for the advice guys!

It is an interesting question what the value of any coin might be. Obviously many buyers don't care about or understand some factors that mean a lot to others. This coin has less than the best style and less than the best centering. What it has is good metal. An EF with light porosity is not hard to find. I suggested the coin be marketed high end because I thought it might qualify as special due to the metal. Obviously not all of us agree on that. Slabbing is the obvious answer if the goal is to sell to a non-collector market and still might be the best answer if you feel the coin's faults drop it to that level. Being sold by Berk/CNG would negate the need for a slab but the Vagi slab would answer the authenticity question and enable the coin to be sold for $500 to $750 to a market segment who will consider slabbed coins. Let us know how it comes back. EF 5/5 ignoring the centering would be a possibility but AU 4/5 also strikes me as possible. While I buy no slabbed coins, I look at them and enjoy second guessing them. It is a hobby I can afford.

I agree with this. I believe this coin has average style. There are much better, and much worst examples. I swear this series is the poster child for learning about style, as it runs the gamut of stick figures, (stick elephant?) to great masterpieces, and everything in between.
