I can see the misaligned die, but that's a very common occurrence on quarters, so I'm wondering what specifically that has to do with this coin.

There is 360 ways to look at a coin and probably as many plains. Times that times two = coins can talk.
    Here's 1 2 3 4 ways to look at this one.

Anyone else want to contribute a sample? It will only cost you 25 cents. I will send you two dollars if you use one of the many common mis aligned die 1999 Delaware coins you may or may not have.

What about this dime It weighs the same as dimes with similar years. I shines very brilliantly in the sunlight all the words jump out clear as day when the light hits it rights. It has an brilliantg luster all around when you twist it around in a good light source. I have had it tested on a lazer spectrometer the metal content came out to be the exact same as the copper content that the book says should be in the core of a dime.

so what do you think is it plated? Maybe acid dipped if so would that change the weight of the dame even a little?? could it be off metal or was it made from the end or a poorly cladded sheet of coin stock?

Is there any experts that would advise me how to find out for sure or should i just cut it in half?

cut it into four pieces , the dime is not worth anything because it has been recovered from a trash bin where folks burn their paper trash.

Maybe I should clean it first?

that would be a good idea if you want to spend it. when clad coins have been in a fire this crusty brown copper looking color is hard to get off. it almost takes something rough like say sandpaper. the coin will clean back up to it's nickel color after a lot of cleaning.
