I think these Seleucid Kings bottle cap coins are really cool!
I wanted this one because it's so large. The portrait is very beautiful also, as are many of the Seleucid coin portraits.

PS- I've not had any Seleucid AEs so large. Only silver. That's neat!

Indeed, a great portrait, and typically nice "Levantine" patina.

LOL! Thanks for the offer, Lord Marc! No, I guess I'll pass for now. ;) Actually, vintage Coca-Cola bottle caps might bring a higher price than many ancients.

True 'dat. Dem Coca-Cola peoples will pay all kinds of money for that stuff!

(Probably not so much for the example I pictured above though, ya think?) ;)

    Trivia:
What is the link between Coke bottles and ancient coins?

Bill Porter who wrote the above booklet still sells ancients at shows (Baltimore, Annandale) years ago worked for CNG. I have not asked him if he has any expensive caps but he has provided some nice coins.
