Delamination question

    I found this 1983 penny in my change. New to this and I definitely don’t know anything about delaminated coins. I don’t have great pictures but I posted what I could get.

    Not a case of lamination. Your coin is a copper plated coin that suffers from plating blisters. It is caused by the base metal (zinc) starting to oxidize and expand under the copper layer.

    Like @alurid said, your coin is not a lamination/delamination.
    Your coin has a case of plating bubbles and linear plating blisters.

    That’s some pretty severe bubbling
    A moist climate can bring out the best bubbles
    One cent saver for educational purposes
