Defective planchet or PMD on 1964 nickle?

    When it comes to coins such as this, Angel, the most obvious answer is usually the right one, meaning if you find a coin beat to hell and displays some sort of anomaly, it's most likely due to said beating than an error.

    PMD. Look at the raised area on the reverse matching the depression on the obverse.

    Was it pressed on a hot surface?
